They were sold out of the trip tip sandwhich, so we got the lunch special. It was good, but most definitely looking forward to having the tri tip sandwich! I'll for sure be going again!

Smallish restaurant with not many tables and the bathroom is a bit dingy. Other than that, I thought Abbeys was pretty good. Definitely better than Phil's Bbq. The staff was friendly and had smiles which you don't see very often so that was nice. I got the No 1 Sampler with pork ribs, brisket, chicken, pulled pork, cornbread, potato salad, onion rings, and the burnt ends. We also got baked beans but it was on the house from the restaurant since they accidentally handed me that instead of my onion rings (nice of them to just let me have it) The brisket and pulled pork were both flavorful but lacked some moisture and it had a lot of fatty bits. The chicken was very tender and juicy but lacking flavor. Honestly, I didn't like the pork ribs. They weren't tender and were tough to pull apart. They also tasted like the only seasoning on it was pepper. The onion rings were very crispy and the batter was flavorful. The onions were very sweet and tender. I don't like onion rings most of the time but I loved these. The cornbread was good! It's very sweet and tastes a bit like cake. I would like it to have been thicker and like real cornbread, but good nonetheless. Potato salad was nothing special, but it's good and creamy. The baked beans were a bit weird. The sauce in the beans was so flavorful and smoky but the flavor didn't transfer into the actual beans themself. Best thing I tried by far was the onion rings and the burnt ends with the house bbq sauce. They actually had flavor and they were so tender you could pull it apart with your hands. Overall, I think it's great for SoCal bbq but for the price, I think the only thing I would get again are the burnt ends and onion rings. 7/10

Wonderful BBQ Texas style with out being in Texas! Great food, great service, in a venue that gives you a feeling of Texas through its decor and western music.

Great Brisket! The nicest most genuine staff, customer service, and grill masters. During my visit, the place was packed out of the door, they were having a Friday night rush. I think they are about to but the next suite to expand. The brisket and the pulled pork was gone right after my order lol. But I did tried the baby back ribs and the hot links. they are perfect, I like the pepper-smokey dominant salty-savory type, but that's me. I will come back for an easy sit down Texas BBQ! Awesome place!
